This extremely rare, English cabinet originates from Burghley House in Lincolnshire, the ancestral home of the Marquess of Exeter.

The cabinet bears all the hallmarks in its quality and architectural design that may be attributed to a number of eminent makers including Messrs. Ince & Mayhew who, so it is recorded, worked consistently at Burghley during the latter half of the 18th century.

This item has been made specifically to order with unique shallow proportions.

The cabinet measures 92” in height, 55” in width and 11” in depth. Circa 1785.
