Antique Holland & Sons Card Table Circa 1860

This is an exceptionally fine swivel top card table stamped by London furniture makers Holland & Sons.

The table is decorated throughout with Hungarian Ash and has borders of Purpleheart and Ebony stringing.

The table, which was formally in a private residence, and at one time part of an ennobled family estate in Hertfordshire, retains its original cast and chased gilt metal candlesticks which are stored inside the top when the table is closed.

The tables measures 29” in height, 36” in width and 18” in depth. Circa 1860.
