British author J.K. Rowling gained international fame through her creation of teen wizard, Harry Potter, who captured the hearts of millions in a series of popular children’s books published between 1997 and 2007.

The series of 7 novels follow Harry Potter and friends through his time at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The novels inspired a series of 8 Harry Potter movies made between 2001 and 2011. The series currently holds the world record for highest box office film gross for a film series. 

This is a hardback, first edition copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second novel in the series, published in 1998. The book follows Harry through his second year at Hogwarts.

This copy, which comes complete with its original dust jacket, has been autographed by J.K. Rowling in black felt-tip on the inner title page. 

Due the large number and wide range of Harry Potter fans, signed books are much sought after. In 2010, a first edition copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone sold for $24,000 at auction whilst the original art work for the front cover of the same book sold for £87,750 in 2001.

In excellent condition, this beautiful example is a must see for any Harry Potter fan.
