For Sale: £7,950.00

A fine figurative drawing by John Lennon complete with his autograph.

John Lennon (1940-1980) was one of the founding members of The Beatles. He was a controversial peace activist, engaging in the anti-war movement. In December 1980, he was shot in the back four times by Mark David Chapman outside his New York apartment, dying in hospital later that evening.

To date he has sold 14 million albums in the United States alone. In 1987 he was posthumously inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, in recognition of the 27 number one US singles he helped create.

Lennon was a passionate artist. His drawings became illustrations for three books that he wrote in the 1960s.

The card is in very good condition, with some light toning, and other signatures feature on the reverse.
