The youngest President to be elected to office, Kennedy presided over historic events including the Bay of Pigs, the Cuban Missile Crisis, the construction of the Berlin Wall, the Space Race, the Civil Rights Movement and early stages of the Vietnam War.

JFK was assassinated in Dallas, Texas in 1963, and despite his relatively short term in office, American’s regularly vote him as one of the best presidents, in the same high regard as George Washington  and Abraham Lincoln.
