Andy Warhol 'Liz' lithograph at auction gives another opportunity to Taylor's fans

We've already reported on the intriguing abstract work by Helen Frankenthaler: Sunshine After Rain which is to be offered by a New York auction house at lunchtime on Wednesday, January 25 as part of their Editions fine art sale.

Another of the other obvious highlights is a 1964 'Liz' offset lithograph of movie legend Elizabeth Taylor by Andy Warhol.

Needless to say, for collectors and investors attending auctions, Elizabeth Taylor has scarcely been out of the news since her death. We recently put together a Top Five list of her collectibles for our newsletter.

Collectors seeking to get close to either Liz Taylor or Andy Warhol have intriguing opportunities away from the auction at the moment however, as we have items bound to fascinate in our stock.

We're currently offering you the chance to get your hands on a piece of Elizabeth Taylor - quite literally, in the form of a genuine piece of her hair.

For Warhol fans there is something even more substantial: a polo neck jumper worn by the artist. Most of the best known pictures of Warhol show him in his polo neck.

The signed and dated Andy Warhol 'Liz' lithograph of Elizabeth Taylor, which measures 23 inches square, has a $6,000-$9,000 estimate.

Another highlight of the sale is a Jeff Koons Balloon Dog Blue, 2002, with its original stand, packaging and box is expected to fetch $4,000-$6,000. The ceramic dog is 10 3/8 inches high by 10 3/8 inches long by 4 inches wide.

Internet live bidding will be provided for the 269-lot auction.
