Works of art by Iranian painters, photographers and artists will be sold at the Bonhams auction house in the United Arab Emirates on October 12.
Bonhams' Middle East auction will feature works from some of the biggest names in modern and contemporary Arab, Iranian, Indian and Pakistani art, according to PressTV.
A total of 64 original works will feature - including neo-traditionalist painting, contemporary, photos, sculpture and architectural aesthetic works by Iranian artists.
A painting by Sohrab Sepehri, a leading Persian poet and painter (1928-1980), will be among works going under the hammer, estimated at $120,000-140,000.
The unique Sepehri work was painted at the height of his career, and features an Oriental woman in a full-length white dress, stood on a wooden precipice and gazing towards a red setting sun.
Other artists include Mohammad Ehsai, with works showcasing his striking, semi-abstract red calligraphy ripples which create a complex visual maze on the canvas.
Ehsai's paintings are laden with spiritual meaning, informed by his deep seated spiritual background, and are estimated at $110,000-130,000.
