Andy Warhol is one of the world's top selling artists. Here are the five most valuable examples of his artwork to sell.
5. 200 One Dollar Bills (1962)

Five bidders competed for Warhol's 200 One Dollar Bills at Sotheby's in 2009, before it was eventually secured by one collector at $43.8m.
It was consigned to auction by London art collector Pauline Karpidas, who had originally bought it for $385,000 at a 1986 Sotheby's auction. The 2009 price represented a 22.8% pa increase in value for the work since its last sale - a testament to Warhol's enduring popularity, even two decades after his death.
4. Men in her Life (1962)

Another piece from 1962, the year when Warhol was enjoying the prime of his career. Men in her Life shows black and white photographs of Elizabeth Taylor, pictured with her third husband, Mike Todd and her soon-to-be-husband, singer Eddie Fisher.
The piece was sold by Isreali art collector Joseph Mugrabi at auction in November 2010 for $63.4m.
3. Green Car Crash (Burning Green Car 1) (1963)

Formerly holding the title of the most expensive Andy Warhol artwork, the piece was sold from a private Zurich collection for $71.7m in 2007. It was bought by Philip Niarchos, eldest son of the Greek shipping magnate Stavros Niarchos, at Christie's New York.
2. Turquoise Marilyn (1964)

Part of a series of five coloured portraits that Warhol conducted of the iconic Marilyn Monroe, and the only one to escape being shot by Factory member Dorothy Podber, this piece was purchased by Stephen A Cohen in a private sale through New York art giant Larry Gagosian.
Cohen is thought to have paid $80m for the piece, but this has not been confirmed. However, the fascinating story that lies behind the work would surely push its value close to that mark.

Warhol predominately worked with the iconic, and who more iconic than Elvis "The King" Presley.
The piece was sold privately for $100m in 2009 by Annibale Berlinghieri via French art consultant Philippe Segalot, according to the Economist.
The piece's $100m price tag places it among the most expensive artworks ever sold. Cezanne's The Card Players, believed to have sold privately for around $250m to the Qatari royal family in 2011, holds top spot.
Missing out on the top five was 2012's most valuable Andy Warhol work, Statue of Liberty, which sold for $43.7m in November of last year.
