Renoir 'Study Head' expected to bring $50,000 at Heritage

Pierre-Auguste Renoir's Study Head of a Young Woman will see some of the highest bids in Heritage Auctions' June 15 Decorative Art & European Paintings Signature Auction in Dallas.

The Wildenstein Institute is preparing its catalogue raisonne for Pierre-Auguste Renoir, in which this work will be included



The piece, an oil painting on canvas, was produced in 1918. It is expected to sell for $30,000-50,000 as one of the lead lots of the sale.

The work is currently being prepared by the Wildenstein Institute in Paris - a centre for art history research - for publication in its forthcoming Catalogue Critique Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
