£70k for a 1959 Jaguar Open Top Sports car

We've already looked at the so-called 'ultimate Porsche 911' which will sell at H&H auction's February 16-17 sale at the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton, Derbyshire, UK.

Selling alongside the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight (M471 Sport) will be a 1959 Jaguar XK150 S 3.4 Open Top Sports model.

Supplied new to Canada and first road registered on 14th May 1959, this particular example was repatriated during 1990.

The 1959 Jaguar XK150 S 3.4 Open Top Sports model (£60k-70k)

Converted from left to right-hand drive, recent work has seen it benefit from a "body-off, chassis-up" restoration.

A genuine 'S' model, with matching chassis and engine block numbers, it boasts a subtly enhanced specification.

This includes a five-speed manual gearbox, alternator conversion, an aluminium radiator-slash-Kenlowe fan, a concealed electronic ignition and uprated brakes.

The classic Jaguar will sell with an estimate of £60,000-70,000.
