Maharaja's 1925 Rolls-Royce to star in Barrett-Jackson's Las Vegas auction

A stunning 1925 Rolls-Royce Phantom I that was formerly owned by the Maharaja of Kotah is expected to provide one of the star lots in Barrett-Jackson's September 26-28 auction in Las Vegas.

Rolls-Royce Phantom I
The host of original hunting equipment will surely boost the sale

The fantastic Torpedo Sports Tourer was commissioned by the maharajah and is equipped for hunting Bengal tigers and other big game.

The car retains its .455 calibre hand-cranked Bira machine gun, which is mounted to a towable carriage, as well as an ammo box, vertical gun racks, a horn resembling a snake, and a safe that once contained money in case the maharaja was required to compensate the family of a fallen hunter.

In July 2012, a Rolls-Royce Phantom I Playboy Roadster sold for $180,000 at Coys, boosted by its provenance from the collection of Bette Davis.
