Ayrton Senna is one of the most collectible drivers in history

The plates, which have a starting bid of $25,000, lead a superb line-up of Formula 1 racing memorabilia. The auction closes on August 28.

Ayrton Senna (1960-1994) is hailed as one of the greatest racing drivers. His dazzling career was cut short by his death at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. Today, he is perhaps the most collectible of any Formula 1 driver, with big bids expected for the current lot.

The wing-ends are emblazoned with the Camel logo and are mounted side by side, with a classic Team Lotus design and registration plate.

Starting at $20,000 is a signed race suit worn by AJ Foyt in the International Race of Champions - an oval race with identical stock cars to test driver ability. Foyt, a champion NASCAR driver, won the IROC in both 1976 and 1977.

Also starring is Jacques Villeneuve's race suit from 1995, in the year he won both the CART Championship and the Indy 500. Originating from the Williams F1 team, it includes his initials written on the label in black felt tip. Bidding starts at $15,000.

Paul Fraser Collectibles has a fantastic selection of Formula 1 memorabilia for sale, including items from Sebastian Vettel and Jim Clark.
