Benito Mussolini's Amati violin to make $144,500 at Bonhams?

An Amati violin that once belonged to Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini will auction at Bonhams London on October 29 with a ?�70,000-90,000 ($112,416-144,535) estimate.

It's thought to have been built in around 1700 by luthier Hieronymus Amati, the grandson of Andrea - who invented a number of stringed instruments (including the violin) in the 17th century.

In 2011, the suitcase carried by Mussolini on his ill-fated flight from Italy in 1945 sold for $6,325 at Heritage Auctions.
