Jacqueline Kennedy maternity dress offered on May 9

A silk maternity dress once owned by Jacqueline Kennedy is valued at up to $4,222 at Whyte's in Dublin.

The dress will auction as a single lot alongside a series of photographs on May 9, the Irish Times reports.

Jacqueline Kennedy gave the dress to her childrens' nanny in 1965

Maud Shaw served as the Kennedys' nanny between 1957 and 1965 and took care of the children in the aftermath of the assassination in 1963.

Jacqueline gave her the pieces while on a visit to London in 1965, the year Shaw left the Kennedys' employ.

The Irish Times explained that most of Shaw's Kennedy-related relics from that era were sold off after Shaw's death in 1988.

This particular dress is being consigned by a collector who bought it from an earlier sale.

We have an incredible selection of JFK memorabilia available, including this rare photograph signed by the whole family.

It's also personally addressed to Maud Shaw - the inscription reads: "For dear Miss Shaw - with love from us all - and the deepest appreciation as always".
