Just arrived: 2 days that defined America

A piece of JFK memorabilia just left me speechless.

It sold last week at Sotheby's for $94,500.

But it wasn't owned by Kennedy. Or even signed by him.

It was a small piece of card.

An unused ticket to his 45th birthday celebration at Maddison Square Garden in 1962.

The event where Marilyn Monroe famously sang him 'Happy Birthday'.

This stunning result that proves two things:

  • That the market for JFK history is incredibly strong.
  • And that rare tickets are undoubtedly one of the hottest areas of collecting right now.

So with that in mind, let me show you something that just arrived...

A front row seat to history

This is an original ticket for Kennedy's Presidential inauguration.

Unused and with the stub still present. Dated January 20, 1961.

Kennedy was America's youngest President. The first man born in the 20th century to lead the nation.

And during his rousing inauguration speech, he uttered one of the most famous lines in U.S political history:

"Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country"

This ticket may be a small piece of history.

But it captures an exact moment in time. It represents the dawn of a new era in American politics.

And that makes it a great collector's item.

  • Featuring a portrait of Kennedy and the slogan “A time for greatness”
  • Measuring 11" by 17.5" when fully opened

Two days that defined America

The JFK inauguration ticket represents a moment of hope for the nation.

America headed into the 1960s dreaming of proseperity, peace and equality.

But as you know, that dream was shattered by an assassin's bullet

After less than three years in office, Kennedy was brutally slain on a street in Dallas, Texas.

It was a day that shocked the entire world.

A day that still casts a long shadow over American history.

And this second new stock item is a solemn reminder of that tragedy.

The last dinner

This is a rare original invitation to dinner with John F. Kennedy.

Printed on card measuring 7'' by 9.75'', with a single original mail fold.

Dated November 22, 1963. The day he died.

Kennedy was set to attend the Texas Welcome Dinner in his honour that evening at the Municipal Auditorium in Austin.

Invited guests were excited to hear the President speak in person...

But instead they were left devastated by the news of his death.

The owner of this invitation kept it as a memento of that fateful day.

It's a poignant reminder of what could have been.

The meal Kennedy never ate... the speech he never gave...

And 60 years on, it's a symbol of how history can turn on a dime.

It's a superb item from one of America's most iconic Presidencies.

A great addition to your U.S political history collection.

You can purchase it now for just £995 ($1,225)
