The collection includes dozens of signed items, photographs, documents and books, and is expected to raise as much as $118,000 when it sells as a single lot.

Included is the speech that Nelson delivered at the Rivonia Trial in 1964, in which he famously declared "I am prepared to die" in protest of South Africa's apartheid.

The collection celebrates many of the landmark moments in Mandela's rich history, with the only copy of Nelson's original inaugural address as president to bear his signature also featuring. A first day cover from May 10, 1994, Mandela's first day in office, is included, complete with a five rand inauguration coin.

As well as charting his political career, the collection also explores Mandela's personal life, with plenty of items co-signed by him and other celebrity names.
