Following news that the syringe used to administer the fatal drug overdose which killed Michael Jackson is being touted around for $5m, Paul Fraser Collectibles takes a look at the top six pieces of Michael Jackson memorabilia.
Today, Jackson's autograph has ascended to the big league, in terms of value, commanding prices similar to George Washington, King Henry VIII and Neil Armstrong.

6. Michael Jackson's burnt hair, from his 1984 Pepsi commercial
The locks of legendary celebrities have proven lucrative at auction, including strands of Elvis's hair and an old watch key containing a bundle of hair from the head of Thomas Jefferson's wife, carried by the US President during most of his life.
One of the most famous hair 'incidents' involved Michael Jackson and the Pepsi commercial, when Jackson's hair was accidently set on fire and he required hospital treatment.
The clump of Jackson's singed hair from the incident is owned by Paul Fraser Collectibles.
5. Michael Jackson and Lisa-Marie Presley's wedding certificate, sold for $70,800
The original marriage certificate from the wedding of pop legend Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley auctioned at Philip Weiss Auction in January. The couple's wedding took place on May 26, 1994, in the Dominican Republic.
Described by some as one of the most important celebrity documents of the 20th Century - up there with the wedding licenses of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, and Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio - it sold for $70,800.
4. Jackson's Mercedes 500 SEL, sold for $104,550
When have you ever seen the King of Pop driving a car? Michael Jackson's black 1985 Mercedes was among the singer's memorabilia to go under the hammer in New York in November, last year.

It sold alongside more than 80 items related to the singer, including the "Holy Grail" of Jackson memorabilia: his famous diamond-studded glove (see below).
The Mercedes 500 SEL was snatched up by Charlie Moore, owner of Hollywood Star Cars Museum, for $104,550.
3. Jackson's most famous rhinestone glove, sold for £212k
The "Holy Grail" of Michael Jackson memorabilia sold in Hong Kong for £212,000, along with 80 other lots of the singer's memorabilia.
Jackson's most famous white glove, studded with rhinestones, was worn by the singer when he first unveiled his famous Moonwalk onstage in 1983.
The glove smashed its pre-sale estimate of £30,000 and was purchased by Hoffman Ma, 36, a Hong Kong businessman.
2. Andy Warhol's Michael Jackson portrait, sold for $1m
The painting was sold for just over $1m at the Vered Gallery in East Hampton, NY, on August 18, 2009.
According to previous reports, the same piece sold for just $287,000 at Sotheby's on May 13, prior to the singer's untimely death.
1. Jeff Koon's sculpture of Michael Jackson with Bubbles, worth $25m
The last Koons sculpture of Jackson to sell at auction, Michael Jackson with Bubbles, brought $5.6 million at Sotheby's in New York in May, 2001.
The same gold and white sculpture could sell for $25m today, experts including New York art dealer Alberto Mugrabi have suggested.
