A lock of Mick Jagger's hair has sold for £4,000 ($6,075) in Bonhams' Entertainment Memorabilia sale, which is currently taking place in London.
It made a 100% increase on its £2,000 ($3,000) estimate.

The lock was taken by the grandmother of Jagger's former girlfriend and model Chrissie Shrimpton, though Shrimpton remained unaware of its existence until after her grandmother died.
Apparently, her grandmother had saved it after she washed and trimmed the Rolling Stones frontman's hair during a visit to the family farm.
