1859 (July 13) solid cover to England with imperf 6d dull slate-grey SG44. x3 (margins just touching to large) & BN '48' cancels of Hobart, almost fine strike of the "REGISTERED' handstamp but poor cds in red,'(crown)' REGISTERED' h/s applied at London, fine 'PLYMOUTH' arrival b/s, repaired tear intrudes onto the face well clear of the stamps & markings. The earliest recorded usage of the handstamp on a cover originating at Hobart: see also the previous lot.
