GI Joe Dream Date prototype valued at more than $3,500

A unique "Dream Date" Barbie and GI Joe combo will auction at Nate D Sanders with a minimum bid of $3,500.

The prototype was made by GI Joe creator Donald Levine for a pitch, but was never produced as Hasbro was unable to convince Mattel to let it use the Barbie brand.

"GI Joe is dressed in his full-dress service academy uniform. Before the dance is over, will he and Barbie take a stroll in the moonlight along Flirtation Walk?"

You'll have to buy it yourself to find out. The auction ends on October 30.
