Angus McBean was noted for his photographs of the world's biggest stars, which rank alongside those of Cecil Beaton and David Bailey - and now collectors have the chance to acquire his portfolio in an April 12 auction in the UK.

Alongside photos of stars such as Marlene Dietrich and Richard Burton, his studio visitor book will also be sold, containing the autograph of almost every celebrity that passed through its doors. Included within its pages are examples from all four Beatles, Laurence Olivier, Cliff Richard and many more.
The remarkable lot carries an estimate of £5,000-10,000 ($7,825-15,651), a steal considering Cecil Beaton's photograph of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton went to auction with a £12,000 ($18,000) high estimate in May 2012.
