Are you an art collector on a budget? This Picasso could be for you...

We've already reported on the appearance of Pablo Picasso's La Dame à la Collerette in print form in Swann's New York American Prints auction on March 3.

La Dame à la Collerette is expected to bring $50,000-75,000 - so it's certainly outside the budget of entry-level investors.

However, if do happen to be an entry-level collector with a passion for Picasso, then look no further than tomorrow's Aldus auction in Paris (February 17).

Pablo Picasso's artwork for the poetry of Pierre Reverdy

This Picasso work was originally intended for a group of 12 poems written by Pierre Reverdy, noted for his "lyricism of reality". They remained unpublished until after the poet's disappearance in 1960 following self-exile in Normandy.

This work was among a number of aquatints, each featuring a model, which Picasso worked on during the winter of 1963-64 and the months of February to March 1965.

This printing is among 255 copies, and bears Picasso's own autograph. It will appear in Aldus's sale tomorrow with a far more entry-level friendly €8,000-10,000 pre-sale estimate.
