The sales will feature property from several renowned private collections of Indian contemporary works, Chinese jade carvings and archaic bronzes among others.

Also featuring will be the auction house's first selling exhibition of contemporary Korean art, which will focus on four artists' interest in nature and the hyperreal.

Rival auction house Sotheby's will also be holding major Asian art sales in the city, with the Julius Eberhardt collection of Chinese ritual bronzes selling on September 17.

March's Asia Week New York saw a realisation of more than $175m, up 2.9% on 2012's figure and displaying the continued strength of the market.
