Edward Hopper's 'Locomotive' could steam to $60,000

Sotheby's is holding a sale of modern and contemporary prints on April 29-30, with a wide selection of contemporary and modern works spanning the 1900s.

Among the auction's many highlights are several highly important collections, including 68 lots from the collection of Mr and Mrs Edward Flower.

Iconic works in the Flowers' hoard include Edward Hopper's 1923 etching, The Locomotive, chugging onto the auction block priced $40,000-60,000.

Stuart Davis' 1931 lithograph Two Figures and El is estimated at $25,000-35,000, and is another highlight alongside masterworks by the likes of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.

The sale takes place in New York, with a public exhibition at the Sotheby's New York galleries beginning April 25.
