On May 17, Christie's will offer more than 150 lots including art, memorabilia and jewellery from the personal collection of Van Cliburn.
Van Cliburn was one of America's greatest pianists, and collectors will have a chance to own his English furniture, Russian Art, Silver and Jewels.
All the lots reflect Mr. Cliburn's refined taste and his private passion for collecting. Estimates range from $1,000 to $250,000. The total auction result could reach $3m.

The auction promises to be a visually-striking event, with historically-important and rare examples of English furniture and silver selling alongside dazzling works of art from Russia. Van Cliburn remains revered in Russia today.
