Apres la Pique, a 1962 linocut print by Pablo Picasso, is the highlight of Bonhams' prints and multiples sale on October 22.
Linocut was initially developed as a fine art medium by Picasso and Matisse, who pioneered a reductive method that resulted in the destruction of the plate after it was used, making each set unique.

This example comes to the San Francisco sale with a $40,000-60,000 estimate.
A print from the same edition of 50 sold at Christie's in London in 2007, realising £36,500 ($73,438) against a £20,000-30,000 (£40,240-60,360) estimate.
We have this postcard of Picasso's The Absinthe Drinker for sale, signed by the artist.
Also featured is a Robert Rauschenberg mixed media work titled Sling Shots Lit#6, from the 1985 Sling Shots series, which is valued at $30,000-40,000. The work is an assemblage made from a variety of materials including sailcloth, mylar, a wooden lightbox and a fluorescent light fixture.
Rauschenberg was a pop artist best known for his "combines", works of art that incorporate mixed media and collage.
Sling shots Lit#4, a piece from the same series, sold for $32,500 at Christie's New York in 2011 - towards the upper end of its $25,000-35,000 estimate.
A David Hockney print dating from 1984-86 and titled Walking Past Two Chairs, from Moving Focus will also be offered with an estimate of $30,000-50,000.
In 2011 a proof of Walking Past Two Chairs from the edition of 38 sold for £50,400 ($80,201).
