Swann Auction Galleries has announced that it is time to start bidding in its sale of Photographic Literature, beginning this Thursday (May 20).
Among the sale's highlights is To Place (Books I-IX) by Roni Horn, the American visual artist and writer based in New York.
Horn explores the mutable nature of art through sculptures, photography, books and other media.
To Place (Books I-IX) consists of nine consecutive publications documenting the photographer's ongoing relationship with Iceland.
The editions will be sold within the publisher's original shrink wrap, contained within black-stamped charcoal grey cloth and a yellow clamshell box.

The collection consists of 56 four-colour photographically illustrated cards. Everything is First Edition, with the whole lot estimated to sell for $5,000-7,000 - possibly a great investment for collectors.
If you're a collector with a passion for photography, then you may be interested to know that a very rare signed copy of Karsh a Fifty-Year Retrospective, chronicling the works of Yousuf Karsh, is currently available to buy on the collectors' market.
Featuring the likes of Winston Churchill among his historic subjects, Karsh is today regarded as one of the greatest portrait photographers of all time, and the book features many of his finest works.
