Adam Sender, manager of hedge fund Exis Capital Management, is poised to make up to $70m through the sale of his contemporary art collection.
Around 400 works, including pieces by Richard Prince and Cindy Sherman, are due to auction through Sotheby's in the coming months.

Sender told Bloomberg in 2011: "I was trying to buy the very best work. It was not possible to afford the very best Warhols but you could buy a masterpiece by Richard Prince for $100,000 or $150,000."
He acquired the collection between 1998 and 2008, slowly building an impressive portfolio that rose considerably in value throughout the early 2000s.
Sender told Bloomberg in 2007 that he'd spent around $25m which he recouped through the sale of 40 works. "Who makes that kind of money in the stock market? In the hedge-fund business these days, you're having a great year if you make 20 percent," he said.
