The Royal Academy of Arts is presenting a landmark exhibition of the letters of Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890).
Entitled The Real Van Gogh: The Artist and His Letters, it is the first major Van Gogh exhibition to be held in London for over 40 years.
Over 35 original letters penned by the highly influential Dutch Post-Impressionist painter - rarely exhibited due to their fragility - are on display.
The exhibition also includes 65 paintings and 30 drawings expressing themes relevant to the content of Van Gogh's correspondence.
With a unique mixture of his correspondence and art, the expo promises a hitherto unprecedented insight into the complex mind of Vincent Van Gogh.
The exhibition began on January 23 and continues until April 18.
