Heritage Auctions' April 10 Rare Books Signature Auction features a first edition copy of Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species.

Darwin Origin of Species first edition
Published in 1859, Darwin's book changed the way we think about evolution

The work is without doubt one of the most influential books ever written and has been given a $20,000+ estimate. It is joined in the sale by a first edition copy of Ian Fleming's Moonraker from the Bond series, which is signed by the author and will sell with a $30,000+ estimate.

The top lot of the sale is Thomas McKenney and James Hall's History of the Indian Tribes of North America, which boasts 120 hand-coloured plates and is valued at $70,000+.

We have a superb selection of rare books for sale, including signed items from Charles Dickens, Virginia Woolf, Mark Twain and Arthur Conan Doyle.
