A collection of 35 photographs of Ernest Hemingway and his family is valued at $8,000-12,000 ahead of a sale at PBA Galleries.
Dating from 1900 to 1950, the collection is due to headline the Beats, Counterculture and Avant Garde auction in San Francisco on January 30.

The set spans the author's life, and includes snapshots of him as a baby and a young man - along with photographs of various members of his family.
