Signed Harry Potter books to highlight at PFC Auctions

A complete set of Harry Potter books, signed by the stars of the blockbuster film series, is now selling at PFC Auctions.

Harry Potter books
The books feature the UK adult edition covers, which were released in a limited edition

The books, each individually signed by Daniel Radcliffe (Harry), Emma Watson (Hermione) and Rupert Grint (Ron), are now selling for £500, and are expected to see strong bids as the auction draws to its close on December 12.

The collection is thought to be unique, and boasts fantastic provenance; it was brought to PFC Auctions by the daughter of a driver who worked on all the Harry Potter films as the personal chaffeur of Emma Watson.

Harry Potter remains extremely popular with collectors, with the world record for any Harry Potter book set by a JK Rowling-annotated edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone at £150,000 ($227,993) through Sotheby's in May.

A complete collection of first-edition books from the series made £35,000 ($57,249) last week at Dreweatts and Bloomsbury Auctions.

The market can also expect a wave of fresh interest, as Warner Bros and JK Rowling recently announced that they are working on a Harry Potter spin-off series entitled Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. This should ensure that prices for rare Harry Potter items remain high.

Also selling in the auction is a Daniel Radcliffe-signed copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
