A 1988 Massey Ferguson 360 tractor led an auction of vintage machinery hosted by Cheffins in Harrogate, UK.
The Massey Ferguson 360 is a much loved retro model
The lot was a particularly well kept example of this popular model, with just over 800 hours running time. It sold for £18,000 ($23,293).
Meanwhile a 1989 Ford 7810 achieved £15,500 ($20,058).
Bill King, chairman of Cheffins, explained: “These tractors from the ‘80s and ‘90s are popular with the next generation of collectors, those in their 40s and 50s who remember these machines from their youth.
“The real work horses of the agriculture industry, Fords and Massey 360s have a real nostalgic value, whilst also being of use on the farm.”
