The McLaren Ayrton Senna drove to victory at the 1993 Monaco Grand Prix comes to auction in May.
The machine, which Senna piloted in eight races that season on his way to second in the World Championship, will star at Bonhams’ Monaco sale on May 11.
Senna holds the record for Monaco wins - six
No estimate is available for the car, but previous auction results suggest a figure in excess of $10 million is possible.
The Ferrari F2001 Michael Schumacher drove to victory at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2001 sold for $7.5m last year – a record for an F1 car.
Senna’s extra mystique should see that figure surpassed.
When it comes to Senna memorabilia, this car is the pinnacle. Monaco is F1’s most prestigious course and a place where Senna reigned; this was his record sixth and final victory.
All Senna memorabilia is tinged with sadness, but this car more than most. Senna would never race at Monaco again. He would be killed less than a year later.
The vehicle remains in superb condition and is in full working order, should you wish to put it through its paces at a track day.

A Senna-worn helmet from the 1993 season auctioned for £74,750 ($126,000) in 2012.
