1837 Liberty dime proof to beat $32,000?

A unique proof 1837 Liberty seated half dime is valued at more than $32,000 at Stack’s Bowers.

1837 No Stars

This is the only known example of an 1837 No Stars proof

It’s being sold as part of the Brent D Pogue collection on March 31.

The auction house explains: “This coin approaches perfection: it is well struck, beautifully toned, and a pleasure to behold…

“This is the only issue of the No Stars type available in Proof, it is the very first year of a beloved and enduring design, and the appearance of this starless design in Proof format is supremely appealing.”
