Elvis's shirt sells for $32k

A sale of the King of Rock 'n' Roll's memorabilia, including a golden jump suit, artworks and autographed record sleeves, took place at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers on Sunday.

One of the King's shirts sold for $32,500 after a 10-minute bidding war between four ardent fans over the phone.

Other sales included an autographed Elvis Presley picture sleeve, for $10,370, an album of original photos of the King for $7,390, and a pair of concert-worn scarves which brought $2,318.

Leslie Hindman's sale cemented Elvis's ongoing status among the top-earning dead celebrities.

Elsewhere, a more traditional Elvis collectible recently sold in California. The Martin D-28 guitar used in his famous final Las Vegas performance brought $106,200 at Profiles in History's Hollywood and music memorabilia sale.

At Paul Fraser Collectibles, we currently have our own piece of rare Elvis memorabilia: a signed head and shoulders shot of Elvis wearing an open neck checked shirt.

The signature on this item is superb, and this rare piece of rock history can be yours to own.
