More than 1,000 lots of vintage movie posters go under the hammer at Heritage Auctions' July Movie Poster sale in Dallas, Texas on July 16 and 17.
Classic horror titles in the auction will include Frankenstein, Bride of Frankenstein, Werewolf of London, Ghost of Frankenstein and Cat People.
A number of Hollywood classics will also star, including a 1941 RKO 27" by 41" one sheet for Orson Welles' Citizen Kane.

An original Bride of Frankenstein one sheet 27" by 41" poster from 1935 sold for $334,600 at Heritage in 2007, while an Austrian King Kong poster from 1933 made $38,838 last year.
Red Dust, This Gun for Hire, Way Down East, Thunder, Wild Orchids and Baby Face posters will also be up for grabs, while a number of animation, science fiction, Westerns, silent classic dramas and comedies will round out the sale.
Importantly for high-net worth individuals looking for low risk alternative investments, classic film posters have historically retained their value due to their rarity and the popularity of the films in question.
Award winning collectibles writer Toby Walne explains:
"Although prices have already gone stratospheric in the movie poster market, I can't help thinking those fabulous originals will always hold strong value as there is such a limited supply and we all love great movies," he says.
Classic music posters too can command large sums at auction, although there are always bargains to be found on the private market.
