Jacqueline Kennedy maternity dress offered at Nate D Sanders

A maternity dress Jacqueline Kennedy wore when she was pregnant, along with a series of photos from the White House, are to auction at Nate D Sanders.

The lot is valued in excess of $10,000, with bidding due to close later today.

Jackie Kennedy dress
Jackie Kennedy wore the dress while pregnant with John F Kennedy Jr.

Jacqueline gave the mementos to the former nanny of her children Maude Shaw, whom she visited in London during the 1960s.

A copy of Shaw's memoir, White House Nanny: My Years with Caroline and John Kennedy Jr., is included.

Shaw has inscribed it: "To Rose / With happy memories of our long friendship / My very best wishes for you".

The book includes an account of Shaw receiving the dress and other items.

In recent years, candid photographs of the Kennedys have sold well at auction - with a set showing a family holiday in Cape Cod making $32,500 earlier this year.

We have this photograph inscribed by JFK, Jackie and their two children to Maude Shaw in June 1962 - less than a year before the assassination.

The sale also features a stocking presented by Ronald Reagan to a terminally ill child in 1983.
