The sale was held by Air New Zealand to mark the 30th anniversary of its London to Los Angeles route, with all proceeds going to the UK disability charity, Phab.

A unique lightsaber signed by George Lucas provided one of the auction's biggest draws. The item was a high-end replica of the one used by Yoda in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

The official lightsaber was never actually made for the film, as Yoda's character was completely computer generated. Having been endorsed by Lucasfilm, the superb replica made £870 ($1,364).

George Lucas proved to be more popular than royalty in the sale, with a print of Kate Middleton selling for £801 ($1,256). The Sex Pistols style artwork, entitled God Save the Future Queen, was created by British artist Zoobs.

The piece offered an unflattering view of the Duchess of Cambridge, which was formerly on display at the Opera Gallery in London. It was created prior to Middleton's marriage to Prince William.

PFC Auctions recently sold the first piece of cake from Kate and Wills' historic wedding. Click here to see the full story.

Eslewhere in the sale, a New Zealand All Blacks rugby shirt, which had been signed by all members of the 2011 World Cup winning team, sold for £1,571 ($2,464).

Paul Fraser Collectibles has an iconic England football shirt in stock, which has been signed by several members of the 2009 squad.
