Oskar Schindler documents realise $102,000 at RR Auction

A collection of important second world war-era documents relating to Oskar Schindler has highlighted RR Auction's latest online sale, which closed yesterday (August 14).

Oskar Schindler signed document
This document dates and verifies the move of Schindler's factory, which was previously thought to have begun later

The two lots comprised blueprint plans for part of the industrialist's Krakow factory and documents giving permission for one of his workers to begin moving equipment to Brunnlitz, the site of Schindler's second factory and refuge for Jewish workers.

They sold for a combined $102,134, with the blueprints auctioning for $52,855, while the letter and medical documents for his worker made $49,279.

The sale follows the unsuccessful eBay auction of an original copy of Schindler's famous list, which failed to meet its $3m reserve.

Paul Fraser Collectibles has some fantastic items of militaria for sale, including a rare Winston Churchill signed letter.
