The Beatles top the bill at Heritage's movie poster memorabilia sale

There are just a few hours remaining before the close of Heritage Auction Galleries sale of fine and rare poster collectibles from the world of the silver screen and things are certainly starting to hot up.

Amongst the top lots available at the auction is a French language edition of the poster from the 1954 Paramount classic "Sabrina."

Starring screen icons Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart, the sale presents collectors with the chance to buy an unrestored poster in very good condition from one of the original romantic comedies of the Hollywood era.

"From Russia with Love" poster

Measuring 63" x 94.5" the poster is presented in full colour and features artwork from Roger Soubie, famous for his work on French film posters like "Lolita" as well as working with various advertising brands.

This truly unique memorabilia piece is currently bidding at £115 ($180).

And with similar posters reaching four times as much at recent auction; it could yet prove to be a relative bargain for any collector.

However, it will be up against stiff competition, in particular from the man they call "Bond, James Bond."

The auction also features a poster from the 1964 hit film "From Russia with Love."

Arguably one of the best Bond films ever made, this memorabilia piece represents an excellent investment for any fan of Ian Fleming's most famous spy.

Unrestored and with good full colour, this poster is in fine condition and also currently bidding at £115 ($180).

"A Hard Day's Night" Poster

Elsewhere, the sale will be offering up memorabilia from screen icon Steve McQueen.

The poster from his 1971 cult classic "Le Mans" is up for sale and offering up a real treat to film fans.

Unrestored, in full colour and featuring artwork by Tom Jung, this very fine piece is currently bidding at £154 ($240).

Yet undoubtedly the star lot from bidding so far, features icons from the world of music rather than film.

The 1964 classic "A Hard Day's Night" was The Beatles first foray into the world of cinema and it has proved a popular and enduring one since.

Measuring 27" x 41" this poster features bright and vivid colouration and is described as being in "very fine" condition.

Perhaps that is why bidding for this piece of memorabilia has been so fierce, with the price already up to £707 ($1,100).

Heritage auction galleries sale could be the perfect opportunity for an entry level investment  in these movie collectibles classics.
