The original Batmobile from the 1960s Batman TV show is to be offered as part of an Arizona auction on January 19.
With the car attracting international attention, it could sell for millions, according to the auction house's Craig Jackson, in an interview with CNN Money.

Converted from a 1955 Lincoln Futura by legendary customiser George Barris, the car featured in the live action TV series as well as the movie adaptation, both of which featured Adam West and Burt Ward in the starring roles. Since the end of the show in 1968, it has been on display at Barris Kustom Industries.
Craig Jackson added: "The 1966 Batmobile by George Barris is one of the most famous Hollywood cars in history and it has become a true icon that has been carried from generation to generation of Batmobiles to follow.
"This vehicle not only marks the significant Bat logo that sits on the middle of its door, but a time in television history where they defied the odds of making a car the real star of the show.
"It revolutionised an entire industry that followed in its footsteps".
Boasting a 1956 Lincoln V-8 engine, the car comes complete with gadgets, including a nose-mounted aluminium cable cutter blade, bat ray projector, batscope, bat eye switch, remote batcomputer, the batphone, emergency bat turn lever, bat smoke and bat photoscope.
However, the auction house's expectations are undermined by previous Batmobile sales.
In 2007, the Batmobile from Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever (1995) sold for $297,000, with the stipulation that "the Batmobile may be driven solely when necessary for maintenance purposes and may never be driven while in public view".
