Bob Dylan memorabilia featuring in RR Auction's online sale

A selection of rare Bob Dylan memorabilia is currently open for bids in RR Auction's latest online sale, which closes on September 26.

Bob Dylan signed harmonica
Another Dylan signed harmonica sold for $2,304 at Julien's Auctions in 2011

The collection includes a Bob Dylan signed harmonica, which is currently selling at $484 but will undoubtedly reach a far higher sum as the auction draws to its close.

The harmonica, a Hohner Marine Band in the key of E, was personally played by Bob Dylan and is signed neatly across the top in black felt pen. A characteristic feature of his early sound, it is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Roger Epperson/REAL.

RR Auction rightly describes Dylan as "doubtlessly the most sought after living legend", with his items particularly coveted by collectors.

Also featuring is a signed Carnegie Hall programme from 1964, currently selling at $294. It is inscribed: "Eve, you were the one who said I would get here on my own! - love, Bob, Gig's poem great Tell her thanks!"

The piece is especially valued as Carnegie Hall is a hugely important venue in the folk singer's career. Dylan's 1961 concert at the Carnegie Hall was his first major show outside of Greenwich's coffeehouse music scene.

Dylan has since released a six-song live album of his 1963 concert at the Carnegie Hall in 2005.

Paul Fraser Collectibles has a fantastic signed set list from Bob Dylan for sale, which includes some of his most famous tracks.
