Diana Dors Sgt Pepper mannequin to make $50,000?

A mannequin of actress Diana Dors that appears on the cover of the Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is offered at Julien's Auctions.

The lot, valued at $30,000-50,000, will cross the block in the Icons & Idols 2014: Rock n' Roll sale in Beverly Hills on November 7.

Diana Dors was one of the biggest stars of the 1950s

Dors appears on the right hand side of the cover standing next to Marlene Dietrich and Shirley Temple.

Artists Peter Blake and Jann Haworth designed the cover, using life size cardboard cutouts and models of the various celebrities.

The model was borrowed from Madame Tussauds and the arms and legs have since been lost.

In 2013, a signed copy of Sgt Pepper sold for a world record $290,500 while the original collage for the insert made £55,250 ($87,725) in 2012.

A pair of John Lennon's iconic glasses are offered with a $20,000-40,000 estimate.

Lennon gave them to the consigner at a London nightclub in the 1960s. The Beatle lent the glasses to her to read the menu and told her to keep them when she tried to return them.

A pair of glasses Lennon wore on the Beatles' 1966 tour of Japan sold for $1.7m in a 2007 sale.

We have a fascinating selection of Beatles memorabilia available, including this ultra rare signed copy of A Hard Day's Night.

The sale also features a selection of costumes worn by Madonna, including the pink dress from the video to Material Girl.
