Pink Floyd's inflatable pig withdrawn from sale

The giant inflatable pig from the front cover of Pink Floyd's 1977 album Animals has been withdrawn from an upcoming sale.

Pig Algie Durrants
Pink Floyd floated the pig above London's Battersea Power Station in 1976

Auction house Durrants explained to ABC News: "Pink Floyd came back and said that they wanted to have him back and rehome him.

"I think after the huge amount of publicity that has been generated, the band thought that Algie should go back to them."

The auction will take place on September 15 and features work produced by stage designer Air Artists over the past 40 years.

A giant Babylonian woman built for the Rolling Stones during the 1980s is among the highlights.
