A sheet of 25 Chinese 1882 1ca green Large Dragons achieved $498,849 in a sale of Chinese stamps at Spink over the weekend.

The Large Dragons issue was China’s first official postage stamp, although it was designed and released by the British-operated Imperial Maritime Customs Service.
This sheet is from the third setting and displays strong margins alongside a decent quantity of the original gum.
