Auctions America is to offer an armoured 1987 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur I that twice carried Princess Diana.
Diana rode in the Rolls Royce twice in October 1990
The car was originally modified for the British Embassy vehicle pool in Washington, DC, where it was used to ferry official dignitaries around the capital.
Diana used it between October 4-5 1990, to attend a Royal Gala Evening in aid of the London City Ballet and a children’s HIV charity.
The car is estimated to sell for around $45,000-55,000 at the August 31 to September 3 auction.
August 31 will mark the 20th anniversary of Diana’s death. RR Auction is hosting a major auction of Diana memorabilia, including an archive of personal letters and parts of her wedding dress.
