The LA Lakers player attempted to halt the sale of his items, which had been consigned by his parents.

It is not clear what agreement Bryant came to with his mother and father and the auction house, but the sale will feature two uniforms worn by Bryant at Lower Merion High School and two 2000 NBA championship rings, among other items.

The auction will now be held as planned, with bids closing on July 19.
