Jackie Kennedy’s childhood home to make $49.5m?

Jackie Kennedy-Onassis’ childhood home is offered with an estimate of $49.5m by Sotheby’s Realty.

Jackie Kennedy Merrywood

Jacqueline moved to Merrywood when she was 12

Jacqueline was just 12 years old when her mother Janet Lee Bouvier married wealthy stockbroker Hugh D Auchincloss Jr in 1942.

The family moved into Merrywood, his lavish home in the Washington DC suburbs.

The enormous house was the scene of many of the most important moments in her life. It’s where JFK picked her up for their first few dates and where they would hold their wedding party in 1953.

The present owner, AOL co-founder Stephen Case, paid $24.5m for it in 2005.

We have a genuine strand of Jacqueline Kennedy’s hair for sale.
