How's this for a jaw-dropping sale?

Heritage Auctions Galleries has sold its fair share of exceptional natural history treasures - but this specimen surely raises the bar even further.

As shown in the above video, the largest prehistoric Megalodon shark jaw ever assembled is going under the hammer in Texas.

It includes 182 fossilised teeth, with some measuring over seven inches long.

The jaw comes from the largest predator ever to have existed on Earth: the 16-metre long Megalodon shark which died out 1.5 million years ago.

Now the one-time king of the ocean could be the king of the auction block, when the jaw sells with a $700,000 (£436,000) estimate on June 12.
